Essential Oil Blends for Anxiety

Anxiety is a normal human feeling that causes us to be afraid, nervous, over think and worry. It can vary from mild to severe. Here are a few blends to reduce and manage anxiety. For diffusers with the standard capacity, 100ml, use 4-5 drops of essential oils. For 200ml water capacity, you may use 6-8 drops. Diffuse these blends for 30 minutes.

Lavender + Orange + Peppermint

Lavender can create a relaxing atmosphere with its sweet and floral scent to manage unfavourable feelings. Orange enhances the mood and the body’s immune system as anxiety not only affects mental health but physical health, too. Peppermint gives a boost of energy for better focus and circulation, soothing feelings of irritability, nervousness and sluggishness.

Cardamom + Bergamot + Cedarwood

Bergamot can facilitate easier breathing and its pleasant citrusy aroma has a positive influence on emotional distress. Cedarwood’s strong and warm aroma is both sedating and revitalising, quieting the mind while improving cognitive function.
